Drama is offered in Our Lady’s as an extracurricular activity and as a year long module in Transition year. There is a Drama Club led by Ms. Hughes and Ms. Mason. It is open to all junior students and meets once a week in the concert hall. Previous productions include The Grinch in 2018 and Scrooge in 2016. Drama Club links with the local community and has performed at Fair Day and visited residents of St. Mary’s to recite poetry and perform short sketches. Skills developed in Drama Club such as public speaking, decision making, communication and cooperation transfer into school life and have helped many students with their CBAs for Junior Cycle and noted on their Junior Cycle Profile of Achievement.
