UCD Scholarships galore for Our Lady’s

.......... as six students from the Leaving Certificate class of 2021 receive UCD Entrance Scholar Awards

Our Lady’s Secondary School, Castleblayney can be justifiably proud of their record of academic scholarships to third level institutions in recent years. This fantastic record continued as six students from the Leaving Certificate class of 2021 were awarded UCD Entrance Scholar Awards at a ceremony in O’ Reilly Hall, University College Dublin last Tuesday April 6th. These entrance scholarships were awarded to students from the Leaving Certificate class of 2021 who received 560 points or more in last year’s Leaving Certificate Exam. The six students were Jodie Mc Quillan (Physiotherapy) Emma Hanratty (Radiography) Phaedra Clarke Casey (Law & French), Vincent Chen (Economics & Finance), Tara Quinn (Economics & Finance) and Mia Mackie (BA Science).

Speaking at the school during the week, Principal, Mr Eddie Kelly offered his congratulations to all the students who have been awarded scholarships. “These young people have not achieved such wonderful success without a lot of hard work, commitment and sacrifice. It is fantastic that their application and commitment to their studies at post primary level has been recognised at university level. Everyone at Our Lady’s is incredibly proud of their achievements and we wish them continued success and happiness as they pursue their studies at third level.’’
