Congratulations to Second Year student Malachy Treanor who has qualified for the finals of the All Ireland Athletics Cross Country Competition. The All Ireland Athletics Cross Country Competition is one of the highlights on the school’s athletics competition calendar, attracting the best athletes from all over Ireland. It requires endurance, stamina, and resilience to compete in this demanding event, and Malachy has demonstrated all of these qualities. Principal of Our Lady’s Mr. Kelly commented that ‘Malachy’s qualification for the finals is a testament to his dedication and hard work in training and that he has shown great perseverance and determination, competing at a high level against strong competitors from across the country. At Our Lady’s we are proud to have played a part in Malachy’s journey to the finals. Our school has always been committed to supporting our students' passion for sports and providing them with opportunities to pursue their talents and interests outside the classroom. We have a strong tradition of athletics in our school, and Malachy’s achievement in qualifying for the national finals adds to our school's long list of accomplishments in this area. I extend my congratulations to Malachy on his qualification for the finals of the All Ireland Athletics Cross Country Competition and our school community wish him the very best of luck in the national finals on March 11th.
