Our Lady’s Students Celebrate Excellent Junior Cycle Results
There was a great sense of excitement and celebration at Our Lady’s Secondary School on Wednesday, October 7th, as students received their Junior Cycle results, marking an important milestone in their educational journey.
The school community warmly congratulated the students on an excellent set of results, reflecting the hard work, commitment, and determination they demonstrated throughout their three years of Junior Cycle.
Principal Mr Eddie Kelly said the day was, above all, an opportunity to recognise and celebrate the achievements of the students. “We are extremely proud of all our students and delighted to see their hard work rewarded. Students achieved excellent results across the full range of subjects and levels. Every student has their own individual story and today is about congratulating them on what they have achieved.”
Mr Kelly emphasised that while the results are an important achievement, they also represent the culmination of three years of learning, personal development and growth.
“Junior Cycle is about much more than the final results. Over the past three years, we have watched these young people grow in confidence, develop new skills, overcome challenges and make a very positive contribution to our school community. They should take great pride not only in their results, but also in how far they have come since beginning First Year.”
The results provide students with a strong platform as they continue their education at Our Lady’s and progress through Senior Cycle.
“This is an important milestone, but it is also another step on their journey,” Mr Kelly added. “We want our students to enjoy this moment and be proud of themselves. We look forward to continuing to support and encourage them as they build on these achievements in the years ahead.”
Mr Kelly also acknowledged the important contribution of the school’s teaching staff, thanking them for their dedication, professionalism and commitment to supporting students throughout Junior Cycle. He also expressed the school’s appreciation to parents and guardians for the encouragement and support they have provided throughout the past three years.
The overriding message from Our Lady’s, however, was one of congratulations to the students themselves.
“Today belongs to our students,” Mr Kelly concluded. “We congratulate each and every one of them. Their hard work and perseverance have been rewarded, and everyone in Our Lady’s is immensely proud of their achievements. We wish them every success as they continue the next stage of their education.”
