ROISIN IS STUDENT OF THE YEAR AT OUR LADY’S

Sixth Year student, Roisin Lennon is the proud recipient of the Gerald F Gillanders Student of the Year Award for 2023, becoming the 38th student to be honoured with this prestigious award. In a ceremony that was announced to the full school community on Wednesday May 17th, Roisin received this very prestigious award which was constituted in memory of the late Gerald Gillanders, who was Deputy Principal of Our Lady’s at the time of his sudden death in 1984. Speaking at the school during the week, Principal, Mr Eddie Kelly, congratulated Roisin as the Student of the Year for 2023.


“Roisin is an exceptional young person and an exemplary role model for her peers and younger students in the school. Roisin’s commitment to all aspects of school life has been unwavering, she is a pleasant, caring and diligent student who displays a profound respect and gratitude for the support and opportunities she receives. On behalf of the management and staff, I would like to congratulate Roisin and the seven other nominees and thank them for their contribution to school life over the last six years. We are indeed very proud of Roisin and all of her classmates in the Leaving Certificate class of 2023 and we extend every good wish to them as they move forward into the next chapter of their lives.’’
