Fifth Year Student Mischa Bogue Wins Maynooth University German History Society Competition

Mischa Bogue, a Fifth Year student at our school, has been successful in the Maynooth University German History Society competition for her excellent research project on the Eichstätt garden book. Mischa entered this competition during her Transition Year, using the opportunity to delve deeply into her passion for history. Her research project, inspired by a video from the German History Society on the Eichstätt garden book, went beyond the initial inspiration to explore the broader context and the particular significance of the garden and the book.

Principal Mr. Kelly expressed his pride in Mischa’s achievement, stating, “Mischa’s success is a reflection of her commitment to making the most of her TY experience. She seized every opportunity to expand her horizons and challenge herself, and this award is a well-deserved recognition of her hard work. Mischa’s passion for research and public speaking also led her to success in the Action Talks Regional Speech Writing Competition last year and further underscores her broad range of talents and her drive to excel in various fields. Mischa’s achievements are a source of pride for our school community. Her success in both the Maynooth University German History Competition and the Action Talks Regional Speech Writing Competition highlights the importance of encouraging students to explore their interests and push the boundaries of their knowledge.’’
