Transition Year students represent Our Lady’s in Microsoft Office Specialist National Finals.
Five of Our Lady’s Transition year students earned a place in the Microsoft Office Specialist national finals based on their high scores in their MOS exams. The Microsoft Office Specialist programme is the world’s most recognised computing qualification for proving a person’s skills and abilities in Microsoft Office Applications and our students gain so much from completing these exams as part of their Transition year programme.
The boys attended the MOS finals held in Microsoft Ireland’s DreamSpace on Wednesday May 11th 2022. This was an action packed day of digital skills. They sat their exam in their respective module and also participated in a Minecraft workshop and a Makecode with Microbit Workshop.
Killian Smith, Jake Hendry and Charlie McQuillan qualified for the Excel Final. Eoghan McEntee qualified for the Word Final and Tiernan Buckley qualified for the Powerpoint Final. This was an excellent educational opportunity for the students and an enjoyable day spent with other Transition year students from all around the country. Principal Mr Eddie Kelly and MOS Coordinator Ms Kathryn Clarke congratulated the boys and their teachers on their success.
The boys are pictured being presented with their certificates by Billy Breen, Senior Territory Manager and Dr Kevin Marshall, Head of Education at Microsoft Ireland.
