Success for Our Lady’s in the Credit Union Art Competition

Congratulations to the staff and students in Our Lady’s Secondary School Art Department as the results of the 2023 Credit Union Art competition were unveiled last week. This annual competition continues to be a platform where our students showcase their innate artistic abilities and creative genius, and true to form, they have once again performed extremely well. Principal Mr. Kelly, extended his congratulations to all those involved in the competition remarking "We are always thrilled to support our local Credit Union and encourage as many students as possible to participate in this competition. This year, we were delighted with the overwhelming response, and the standard of entries across various categories was commendable. Our success in the Credit Union Art competition not only reflects the artistic prowess of our students but also underscores the school's commitment to fostering creativity and participating in community initiatives. Our Lady’s continues to be a hub of artistic excellence, and we are immensely proud of our students' achievements in this prestigious competition.’


The following students were successful with their entries:


14-17 Years (Category 1)

·      1st Place: Maeve Coogan

·      2nd Place: Emily Mc Mahon

·      3rd Place: Eimear Mc Glynn


14-17 Years (Category 2)

·      1st Place: Shannon Mc Clenaghan

·      2nd Place: Erin Whelehan

·      3rd Place: Demi O’ Leary


11-13 Years

·      1st Place: Aisling Deery
