Congratulations to Emer Ruddin from the Leaving Certificate class of 2022 who received a prestigious DCU Entrance Scholars Award at a ceremony in DCU on Monday November 28th. These scholarships are awarded to students who achieve in excess of 600 points in the Leaving Certificate. Emer who received the prestigious Gerald F. Gillanders Student of the Year Award at Our Lady’s is also a past pupil of Doohamlet National School and is currently studying Primary School teaching at St. Pat’s DCU. Speaking at the school during the week Principal Mr. Kelly congratulated Emer on her scholarship ‘ Emer could not have not achieved such fantastic success without a lot of hard work and effort and all the staff in Our Lady’s are extremely proud of her latest achievement. At school Emer was a wonderful student and she was an excellent role model for her peers and for younger students in the school. We wish Emer well in her future endeavours, as we do to all the class of 2022’.
